Scotch Shortbread

Serve with hot tea or coffee

Ingredients

Add flour to shopping list 2 cups flour

Add confectioners sugar to shopping list 1/2 cup confectioners sugar

Add butter (no substitutes) to shopping list 1 cup butter (no substitutes)

Directions:

In a large bowl, combine flour and sugar; cut in butter until crumbly. Using your hands, mix until dough forms a soft ball. Press into an ungreased 9-inch square baking pan. Prick dough thoroughly with a fork. Bake at 325 degrees for 45-55 minutes or until lightly browned. Cut into bars while warm. Cool on a wire rack.
