Ale'd Pork and Sauerkraut

Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

check (32 oz.) sauerkraut, undrained 1 jar (32 oz.) sauerkraut, undrained

check sugar 1 1/2 teaspoon sugar

check (12 oz.) dark beer or ale 1 can (12 oz.) dark beer or ale

check pork shoulder 3 1/2 lbs. pork shoulder

check salt 1/2 teaspoon salt

check garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

check pepper 1/4 teaspoon pepper

check paprika paprika

Directions:

Pour sauerkraut into slow cooker. Sprinkle sugar evenly over sauerkraut, and pour beer over all. Place pork, fat side up, on top of sauerkraut mixture; sprinkle evenly with remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on high for 6 hours. Place pork on serving platter and, using slotted spoon, remove sauerkraut and arrange around pork.
